I found next to Portobello Road a very nice surprise to start the year - a museum full of old packaging arranged chronologically... a delight for lovers (and gueeks!) of old lettering.

I can personally say that the logo has nothing to do with what you find inside. You have to spend at least an hour and a half to see everything, or more if you want to stay in their lovely coffee reflecting on all that you've found there.

As any museum, photos are not allowed, although it is tempting to take the camera out for a quick photo on more than one occasion, (I speak from experience).

No doubt, highly recommended.

Empiezo el año con una grata sorpresa encontrada al lado de Portobello Road. Un museo lleno de packaging antiguo ordenado cronológicamente. Una delicia para enamorados del viejo lettering.

Personalmente puedo decir que engaña al entrar, su logotipo nada tiene que ver con lo que encuentras dentro. Hay que dedicarle un mínimo de hora y media para ver todo en condiciones que además puedes alargar estando en su café reflexionando en todo lo que allí te has encontrado.

Como buen museo no están permitidas las fotos, aunque es tentador sacar la cámara más de una vez, lo digo por propia experiencia.

Sin duda, altamente recomendado.

EATING GRAPES IN LONDON FOR THE SECOND TIME

I just wanted to write a few words to wish you all a Happy New Year. Being a proper Spanish, I have eaten 12 grapes in the New Year - this this is usually a symbol of good luck for the new year so this 2013 has to bring us lots of good luck and happiness. Here's hoping so!
